-- RELEASE NOTES FOR THE MINICALC APPLICATION --
About Minicalc :
----------------
MINI CALCULATOR is a very small and simple calculator for Windows
I created it because I do a lot of calculations throughout the day and
must have a calculator open at all times, but the Windows calculator
looks too big on my desktop. Although Mini Calculator is already very
small, it has a ROLL-UP feature which makes it even smaller. If you use
it, only the DISPLAY WINDOW will be visible, but the calculator will be
still fully functional.
Mini Calculator stays on top of other applications even when it is
inactive. I thought this would be of great help to anyone who wants
to access it at any time effortlessly. Again you can use the roll-up
feature if it's size annoys you.
You can use the mouse, the numbers of your keyboard or your numeric
keypad to input data. Special buttons you should use are :
DELETE instead of C, BACKSPACE instead of CE, ENTER instead of =.
Please note:
------------
Mini Calculator uses the NUMBER FORMAT options (thousand separator
and decimal separator) that are declared at the INTERNATIONAL section
of your CONTROL PANEL. These settings must be set correctly so that
Mini Calculator functions properly.
For example, when you press your numeric keypad DOT, the calculator
produces the DECIMAL SEPARATOR, whatever symbol that is. The symbol '.'
will be produced if you have declared DOT as the decimal separator.
Requirements :
--------------
Mini calculator is a Visual Basic 3 program, and requires the presence
of VBRUN300.DLL (not supplied) in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory.
Supplied with it are CTL3D.DLL and BLASTER.VBX which should be moved
to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM subdirectory also.
And finally ....
----------------
Minicalc is distributed as Freeware, and as such requires no special
fee payed to the author. However i would be glad to receive any
suggestions, comments or postcards from your town !
Thanks,
Antonis
